Security Cameras with Infrared

Is there an area in your property where security surveillance is highly necessary? Does visibility level in this area get impeded depending on the time of the day, especially at night where there are no artificial light available to illuminate the place? Thus, consider installing security cameras with infrared (IR security cameras) as part of your CCTV (Closed-Circuit Television) system to ensure continuous surveillance all throughout the day and night.

The IR security cameras are ideal for outdoor surveillance such as in parking areas and pathways. Also, they are used by military personnel for zones needing high security. At nighttime, when darkness falls into the area needing surveillance, the infrared lights are automatically turned on to provide clear vision for the camera. Moreover, infrared light is not visible to human eyes, thus, IR security cameras can capture images even in the darkest places for a human.

However, one should not confuse IR cameras with “day/night” cameras, which need constant light source such as a street light to capture pictures. At daytime, IR cameras will produce coloured images but when the device utilises infrared at night, the images are typically in black and white.
